Bullet Holes

Bullet riddled car parked next to ours, are we in the wrong neighborhood?

You have got to ask yourself, when a car riddled with bullet holes is parked next to your car at home, are you in the neighborhood you really want to live in? I suppose kids could have been throwing rocks at the car – really hard, or maybe some psycho with a meat hook tried prying two lovers out of the car while they parked on lovers’ lane like out of some twisted, scary movie scene? The gray spots are not initial attempts at repairing the car, it is where the paint fell off due to the shock of the bullet entering the vehicle. This doesn’t bode well for my sense of security, I can assure you.

New Software

Adobe Photoshop CS2

Adobe’s Photoshop CS2 arrived by DHL today. I have been waiting for this release so we could start shooting more RAW images. Yeah, I know, we can use the software that came with our Canon or downloaded RawShooter – I did, but Photoshop’s workflow is what Caroline and I are most familiar with, and as the previous version of Photoshop wouldn’t open, the new Canon RAW format, we have waited patiently.

Itinerary Building

All free time is being given to building the itinerary for Jutta’s visit to the United States in May. Caroline’s mom should land in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 13th and will have nearly a week to get over jet lag and allergies from coming into this dry state. On May 20th, we will embark on a cross-country trip that will take us to Niagara Falls, Vermont, New Bedford, Mystic Seaport, Statue of Liberty, Central Park in New York City, Lancaster in Pennsylvania to visit the Amish, Washington D.C., Chesapeake Bay, Cape Hatteras, the Smokey Mountains, Natchez Trace Parkway and a few other stops in-between.

More about my mother-in-law’s trip will be posted soon.
